Forbidden Fruit was conceived in Kansas City when I was left behind after the Redbull Thre3style competition. Catch the audio on Raising Cain: Devil's Brew "Stuck in Kansas City". I spent the night at some randos house that turned out to be a party promoter for touring acts that come through the city!! I was surprised I didnt wake up bloody red lol.
So I was using gps directions from St. Louis and didnt notice it because the downtown street names are the same as in St. Louis. So I ended up on the Latino/Mexican side in the hills of the boondocks on the other side of Kansas City. Luckily I survived lol. The people gave food, shelter, water and directions. While I was lost looking for the megabus back to STL, I cured my boredome by singing this song. I was walking for 5 1/2 hours around Kansas City before I found the bus back. Smoked a lot of free weed n coffee that day. Inspired by 3 real women that I know and have interacted with.
